Food is one of the main ingredients in our peace (or war) with ourselves, others and planet Earth!
Becoming aware of our relationship with food (and our bodies) is the first step toward peace. Toxic and addictive ingredients influence the way our body reacts toward health or sickness, and how our minds produce negative or positive thoughts.
When we start considering food only in terms of its calories, convenience or profit-making potential, then the connection is lost. When that happens and our concern becomes just about what's easy for me in the short run instead of us now and in the future, as “life of the planet”. We forget growing our own food and sharing with love, we lose sight of where all this leads: back towards more plastic boxes on store shelves, again carrying products designed specifically, so you can buy them without thinking too hard! Let’s internalise the “externalities” of food production — greenhouse gas emissions, soil and water pollution, costs to the health system and the social and mental impacts on the exploited workers — these might not be included in the sale price but our individual and collective lives depend on our courage to see these invisible costs.
Our relationship with food is an intimate one; it is not only essential for our survival and also provides us comfort and joy in both the little things like a juicy peach or scooping up some vanilla ice cream on top of your favourite cake. Food is our human need where cultures draw their inspiration for nourishment as well as rituals, recipes and stories that span generations.
Food is energy. Food is sensorial. Food is joy. Food is love. Food is a dialogue.
Food is peace.
Food Systems for Peace
Peace efforts cannot be siloed from not only food for our metabolisms, but also as a system.
The global community is starting to acknowledge the importance of food systems for peace and security. The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize to the World Food Programme. The UN acknowledges the importance of food systems in accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals and dedicates Action Track 5 of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit to building the resilience of food systems to environmental, conflictual, and economic shocks and stressors.
However, growing evidence shows that food systems worldwide are failing, as explained in “Food systems for peace and security in a climate crisis” article, in Lancet Planetary Health; first, to produce and distribute enough food to feed a growing world population; second, to meet the nutritional needs of that population; third, to benefit everyone equally and equitably, with both overconsumption and underconsumption rife; and lastly, to operate without exerting severe adverse effects on the environment and natural resources.
Without adequately addressing the problems of our food systems, any ambitions set by the Sustainable Development Goals will be unreachable; while conflicts produce hunger, hunger can also trigger violence and conflicts.
FACT 👉🏼 According to the Food and Agriculture Organization, approximately 33% of the world's topsoil has already been degraded through the use of fertilisers in agriculture, and at the current rate, over 90% could be degraded by 2050. Meaning that the world may only have 28 years of productive harvests remaining.
To begin to think about this, it is intriguing to consider how chemicals, originally developed for use in war, were harnessed for a new purpose: industrial agricultural pesticides. Instead of being employed to incapacitate or kill the enemy in conflict, these chemicals began being used to kill insects, weeds, soils and other living matter — with the upside being an increase in crop yields as the agronomists and economists decreed.
WAR IS OVER billboard on New York’s Times Square (John Lennon & Yoko Ono’s massive poster campaign - December 15, 1969)
Equally alarming, NOAA's Oceanic Service has reported that "when water runs off farmland and urban centres and flows into our streams and rivers, it is often chock-full of fertilisers and other nutrients. These massive loads of nutrients eventually end up in our coastal ocean, fueling a chain of events that can lead to hypoxic 'dead zones' - areas along the seafloor where oxygen is so low it can no longer sustain marine life."
We can look at the many relations food has as a system in our lives, from why our food systems are so dependent on oil and its terrible influence on our climate to the regenerative Farm to Table and Food As Healing movements.
“Food As Healing is a social movement to centre the lived experiences of our collective ancestors and especially for those of us in the global majority. Our Earth and spirit-based traditions, our creation stories, belief systems and cosmologies are critical for maintaining our identities, sense of belonging, health and wholeness.” - Shane Bernardo
But the size of this journey towards finding dietary sources with which we can feel ethically comfortable doesn’t mean we should avoid taking the little steps, to begin with. Quite the opposite, you are needed more than ever, now.
“If everything around seems dark, look again, you may be the light” - Rumi.
The leadership of Peace in Food
Somewhere along the line, it looks like we have collectively decided to let future generations deal with the dire longer-term consequences of multiple threats, from the chemical craze to toxicity in our food cultures that create mortal diseases (obesity, eating disorders, cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular problems…), from world hunger to climate change fuelled by our dietary and supply chain selections in food systems.
By focusing and committing to redesign and act for the economies and cultures of Food for Peace, we can lead a new way of existing, in a good relationship with food, and each other, as nature that is nourishing and honouring all life and a relationship that is sacred, beyond our physical and mental dimensions.

Join us in Heart Masters Ibiza, and in our online journeys as we explore how regenerative thinking and practices can contribute toward creating lasting solutions for society's most pressing problems also in food- all while experiencing delicious food you'll love eating in peace!
Our chef Erika Tangari, founder of the SOL Method, is a revolutionary alchemist who will be inspiring and guiding us in re-creating pathways on how to sublimise healthy food and life in peace at Heart Masters Ibiza.
Erika Tangari
Erika’s main desire is to understand how life enters into specific elements, how these elements manifest as food and how she can combine these elements creating a culinary epiphany while reconnecting people to their souls. She only uses organic and local foods and her own fermentations.
She feels aligned with the message of educating people who are interested in living from abundance and not buying into the illusion of scarcity that modern-day society loves to tout. She describes her current work as sharing the principles of consciousness through understanding the consciousness of food and how it is cultivated, with Ibiza being one of the richest environments on the planet to do her work right now.
You are invited to experience an irreversible transformation in your connection with food and life by raising your consciousness at Heart Masters Ibiza.

For many of us, the time has come to focus on PEACE in our language.
We, as Regenerate X are on a mission to change that; we are in full service to inspire intention, attract collective attention, cultivate a serving attitude with harmony and beauty and co-own leadership responsibility for Systems of Peace. We are starting this October with our first Heart Masters in Ibiza, where systems of peace are inherently lived, imagined and expressed freely and practically taken forward with amazing leaders from all around the world who are dedicated to serving to peace, in peace. We are coming (home) together to explore our potential as whole and free humans, and as The Heroines and Unconditional Men honouring our differences to dance together and to make Peace as “a creative revolution”.
Breath in Peace
As we count down to our first Heart Masters in Ibiza, we invite you to prepare with us, regardless of where you are! This online journey is designed for our community to discover the Peace within and among, harmonising feminine and masculine energies, through breathwork and conscious guidance by four extraordinary coaches who transformed themselves and have been changing many men and women through a powerful breathwork method.
Feminine and Masculine Balancing Energy Awareness Journey (Online)
Our world is shaped by a dance between masculine & feminine energies. But this dynamic is widely misunderstood and rarely discussed. Masculine and feminine energies are not only gender-related and the key is balance, a dance between the two and knowing where and when to use each.
Human nature always searches for developing the dynamic polarity between inner feminine and masculine energy and bringing these energies into balance. Because this balance is what makes our nature whole, and helps us sustain healthy relationships and lead in peace.
This journey will guide you into heightened states of awareness where you can access your masculine and feminine energies, understand the components of the divine masculine and the divine feminine, create a healthy balance, have a deeper connection to each with empathy and transform how you lead your life and business.
This journey is designed for a limited number of people, to be able to provide personalised guidance to take you deeper and beyond based on your own needs.
What does the journey include?
The journey includes 2 live seminars and transformational breathwork sessions on the 10th and 17th of September from 11:00-13:00 CET.
